Texas-bred entrepreneur, Rachel L. Proctor, has revolutionized the way people lead in business and public service. She was first elected to City Council in a Special Election in March 2013 and was re-elected in a General Election in May 2014, winning the election overwhelmingly with 78% of the vote.

She defeated Mayor Pro Tem Kenzie Moore III to rejoin the council after being mayor pro tem from 2016 to 2019.  

"One issue that I believe requires the most attention and resources during my term, if elected, would first be our pandemic response to those most impacted as well as making sure that resources are distributed timely to our city as it pertains to relief funding, testing, and vaccine distribution as these things continue to be made available.
